How do I purchase?
If no items are currently listed on the site, new pieces are in production. All prices are listed in CAD. For a faster checkout, creating an account ahead of time allows you to pre-save your shipping address and payment details. To keep sales fair for everyone, hold requests and pre-sales are not offered.
For faster checkout, I recommend making an account prior to the sale so you can pre save your address & payment. Keeping fairness in mind, there are no holds or pre sales.
Pre-orders
Every piece is individually handcrafted. Due to a high volume of orders alongside ongoing setup following our studio rebuild, production times may vary slightly. Please allow six to eight weeks for pre-order production before dispatch. Your patience and support mean the world as we work through these timelines.
Packaging + Shipping
Each item is wrapped in repurposed packing materials; please reuse or recycle them responsibly.
Standard shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Orders are typically processed within two weeks. Once your order has been packaged and shipped from the studio, tracking information will be sent automatically to the email address provided at checkout. If you place multiple orders that can be safely combined into a single parcel, they will be packaged together and any shipping overages will be refunded automatically. Please double-check your shipping address at checkout, as address changes cannot be made once an order has dispatched.
Please note that if an order isn't picked up from the post office and gets returned to us, we aren't able to offer a refund. However, we'd be happy to reship it to you for an additional shipping fee.
I’m a local
If you are located on Vancouver Island or traveling through Nanaimo, you can select local pickup to bypass shipping fees. Enter the code “ISLANDLOCAL” at checkout to remove shipping charges. Once your order is ready, you will receive an email with pickup instructions and location details.

Returns & Cancellations
All sales are final, and cancellations, returns, or exchanges cannot be accommodated once an order is placed. Packing ceramics for safe transport requires careful handling, and return transit often results in damaged pieces.
Care Instructions
All ceramic pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe. Hand washing is always recommended to best preserve the lifespan of handmade ceramics. Store your pieces where they won’t easily be knocked over, and avoid exposing them to extreme temperature changes, which can cause thermal shock and cracking.
International Shipping
The Creative Traveller ships worldwide to most international destinations served by Canada Post.
Please note that postal parcel service is temporarily suspended to select destinations due to regional transportation disruptions or local customs changes. As of October 2026, parcel shipping is currently unavailable to:
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, and Portugal, Belarus, Haiti, Russia, Sudan, and the West Bank & Gaza Strip
In addition, all shipments entering the United States are subject to US import customs regulations. A 10% tariff/duty charge will be applied to US orders at checkout to cover mandatory customs processing and clearance fees.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged or there is an issue upon arrival, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@thecreativetraveller.com with your order number and clear photos of the damaged item and packaging so we can resolve it for you directly.
